Everyone is looking for sweetness, that quality in a person that ministers to our hearts and souls. Most of us want to be that person, and sometimes we see glimpses of that person in our characters and our behaviors. We desire to be the one that helps someone else through this life. We long to see sweetness in ourselves, yet we struggle to let go of our fears, anxieties, and inadequacies long enough to let sweetness rule the day.

But I have discovered there is sweetness in everyone. Right there in the midst of their concerns or frustrations, there is sweetness. Behind the angry words there is sweetness. Sweetness doesn’t require perfection, nor does it mean we must put aside our differences or our difficulties.

So tomorrow we can look at one another differently, expecting to see sweetness, and when we do, sweetness will likely be there.
